Salmon Masala

Salmon Masala

Satisfy your fish cravings, while boosting your intake of omega 3 with this quick salmon masala. Serve with chips for a treat or with rice.

  • 3 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 green chillies, sliced
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 1 inch ginger, finely minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 500 grams salmon steaks
  1. Take a pan and add oil to the pan. When hot, add in sliced green chillies, curry leaves and onion and finely minced ginger. Saute until aroma spreads and onion turns translucent.
  2. Add in the  tomatoes, red chilli powder, cumin powder and turmeric powder. Add in the salt. Saute for 2 minutes till the tomatoes are soft.
  3. Add in the salmon fillets. Cover with a lid and let the fish cook for 5 minutes on a medium flame. Stir gently without breaking the fish fillet and switch off the stove. Squeeze half lemon juice over the fish masala before serving.
  4. Enjoy with steam rice or with chips.
